Iznik Tile
On the right-hand side, the tile painted with carnations, flowerheads and tulips within a large red palmette. The other side with S-shaped stems of trailing vines with flowers and saz leaves. The outline of another palmette visible along the left edge. This tile would have been part of a large composition. There are tiles with a similar design in Takkeci Ibrahim Aga Mosque (1592) in the Topkapi district of Istanbul and the Louvre (OA 7457 bis 1).
