Indian Embroidered Textile Depicting the British Coat of Arms

The British coat of arms is represented by the lion and unicorn in the centre of this North Indian textile. It is framed by a medallion with an embroidered Arabic inscription reading: "O Conqueror! 'Al bin Sa'id (?) bin Sultan in the month of Muharram, year 1308." (Muharram 1308 = August-September 1890)
